Mindsong’s Sing 2 Remember

Music is a powerful tool to reach out to touch people with dementia.

The power of music can create a sense of community to bring people together. Music can bring back memories and singing helps people reconnect with themselves and their life history, through the strong associations evoked by song.

The bond of singing together may help reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.

Singing is not only enjoyable, but it is also good for health, helping to improve posture and breathing and it can also significantly improve quality of life.

Mindsong's Sing 2 Remember is at The Keepers every first and third Tuesday of the month 10:45 - 11:45am.

No booking is required. So come along and give it a try!

Craft and Chat!

Bring along your knitting, sewing, crochet or craft project and make new connections. This is a non-lead activity but come along to learn from others or be the one to share your expertise.

Once a week on a Friday 11:30am - 12:30pm

It will run alongside the weekly drop-in café, so it means there will be tea and cake!

Unleash your inner creativity through a structured session with a professional artist. For example you can make and decorate things in clay but you won’t be left alone and you don’t have to worry about “naturally arty” - our friendly tutors will guide you step by step.

When we have classes, they generally run on a Thursday from 9:30 - 11:30am. Booking is necessary - open to Gloucestershire residents 19 years and older who are looking to build confidence.

Creative Writing Courses

Whether you’re an experienced writer or a complete beginner, our courses will help you build your confidence and explore your ideas. Embark on your creative journey, or pursue ideas already in your mind.

Our courses are run by an experienced leader who will work with you at your own pace. We run these courses two or three times per year.
